Mozilla Firefox 9 for Android Focuses on Tablets

Mozilla had some nice treats for us lately. After the latest version of the browser was released for desktop, now the company announced Firefox 9 to be available in Android Market. The Android version of Firefox is mainly designed for tablets, as the release notes read, with user interface optimized for tablets’ displays. “Firefox for Android introduces a completely redesigned experience that is optimized for tablets and makes mobile browsing more intuitive.”
Firefox 9 for Android comes with a set of new features to improve users’ experience. The Awesome Screen for instance makes the best of Firefox Sync to make the access to browsing history easier, also opening tabs, bookmarking are more convenient, while saved passwords lead to faster browsing without the need to type in many login information.
Next to the Awesome Screen users will find a new designed Action Bar menu, and from this it easier to access Firefox Preferences, Add-ons, downloads and more. On the Action Bar are also back, forward and bookmark buttons to make the navigation more convenient allowing the users to hop around the Internet with just a tap of a button. Speaking of one tap of a button, this is exactly how new bookmarks of the favorite websites and Web apps can be added to the users desktop.
And the good news don’t stop here, as the company also announces HTML 5 improvements. “Developers will enjoy new HTML5 tools in Firefox that make it easier to create fun and interactive mobile Web experiences for phones and tablets. The HTML5 Input Tag for Camera Access enables developers to make websites and Web apps more powerful and interactive.”
